Get Ready For Valentines

Not trying to be cheesy here, just trying to introduce our newest costume!

Lollipop Princess This costume is so new, we don't even have a picture yet as it is still being made!  But this will definitely be available in time for Valentine's Day weekend!

It’s a unique walk-around performer wearing a dress especially designed to hold lollipops (which would be heart-shaped for Valentine’s Day). As she is strolling around your venue, people may approach her to take a lollipop. Guests can have their pictures taken with the performer too.

Similar to the walking candy cane tree, this will definitely be a hit!

Contact Sphere Entertainment for inquiries.

What's New

It has been awhile.  We've been busy preparing for Santa Arrivals and holiday parties.  We've been also booking entertainment for next year!

For some of you who have not booked for you holiday parties, call Sphere Entertainment.

The Candy Cane Tree is the newest addition in our pool of strolling characters.  The costume can hold up to 300 candy canes.  For more than an hour of booking, we will need to re-load the costume.  It takes about 45-minutes for one person to re-load it.  So an assistant would be very helpful for faster loading.

This is an amazing costume and has been a great hit!

To book this character, email me or call Sphere Entertainment.

Here's a closer look, to see the details.

Back on the Road with Worlds of Adventures

Mounting touring shows in theatres has been one of Sphere Entertainment’s strongest points. For the past years, we have successfully mounted shows and sold out theatres across Canada with Max & Ruby’s My Favourite Things and the “Playdate” with some of TV’s most popular children’s characters – Max & Ruby, Miss Spider, Bananas in Pyjamas and the Fairly OddParents.

Before this year comes to an end, we’re going back on the road with another musical fun-packed show! Worlds of Adventures with “Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs” and the Care Bears hits the road in November with shows in Newfoundland.

“Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs” is currently rating well on Treehouse TV. The animated show is from the enormously successful book of the same title is a Canadian production. In this production, Harry is faced with a dilemma when Mom asks him to clean his room. He has so much stuff that he doesn’t know what to do! So, one, two, three, jump! Off he goes to Dino World.

Care Bears have been around for a long time and they continue to capture our hearts. For some, it brings nostalgia. I, myself grew up watching them. In Worlds of Adventures, we invite you to join Share Bear, Cheer Bear, Funshine Bear, Sleepy Bear and Good Luck Bear on their delightful journey through Care-A-Lot as they search for the colours of the rainbow.

Worlds of Adventures is a whimsical, interactive production full of catchy songs, dancing, magic and fun for all! For the tour schedule, visit: http://www.sphereentertainment.com/See you at the show!

Being Santa and Booking Santa

Santa as we know is one of the most in demand characters during the Christmas season. Santa is the man!

We start getting bookings as early as June and as late as a couple of weeks prior to an event.  We have Santa arrive in style - in a sleigh drawn by ponies or horses, reindeer (yes, reindeer), in a rickshaw and in a parade with other characters like Care Bears, Harry from Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs, Fairy tale princesses and Christmas icons. We can even have Santa appear during a magic show in an illusion box!

Booking Santa sometimes can be challenging. Booking a Santa with real beard is more challenging. Aside from finding an actor who can look the part, we have to find someone who can think on their feet, fast. Though everyone has a list of automatic replies, kids just sometimes ask the darnest things. Some older kids would want to test if you’re the real deal and they’ll ask silly questions. Be prepared, do research and have a solid story. Others would like something extravagant or something immaterial as a present. In these instances, Santa doesn’t make promises parents can’t keep.

Santa needs to keep it “cool” and magical. Even if Santa sits in a mall for the entire month daily for hours end, Santa has to be cheerful, energized, always generous in giving out that hearty, “ho, ho, ho!”

Santa needs to look sharp – suit crisp and clean, glasses (and beard) in place and make-up properly done. Ask parents or Santa’s assistant to hold food or drinks kids might be holding before sitting them on your lap. You don’t want them all over the suit!

Working with the photographer is necessary. Santa’s eyes shouldn’t wander, look at the camera. Put your hands up, well, not really up, up. Just make sure they’re in the photo – one in a wave the other could be in the kid’s shoulder. Advise the photographer to let you know if Santa needs to fix the suit.  Kids (and parents) will be very happy to take home a nice photo with Santa.

Be in character and costume at all times when in public. Be jolly!

Don’t wait too long, Santa gets booked pretty fast.  So book now!

And don't forget, other characters would love to join Santa too - Mrs. Claus, elves, Sugar Plums, Snow Princess, the toy soldier and more! Sphere Entertainment offers fun, lively, interactive shows too for your Santa's arrival.
