Branching Out Program

Here's a run down of South Common Mall's 5th Annual Branching Out Program.

Branching Out is a holiday program that reaches into the community. Ten Mississauga-area schools and community groups were invited to create tree decorations and ornaments to bring into the mall to decorate a seven-foot artificial tree, which is provided to the groups by the shopping centre.

The trees go on display and shoppers are asked to cast votes as to which tree is their favorite. The contest runs from November 23 to December 20. The votes are tallied and the winner is announced at our Santa Farewell Party on December 24. I encourage you readers to bring family and friends to admire their work and support them through voting for a tree as the winning organization / school will receive a $1000 donation. At the end of the project, participants can take their trees to put on display in their schools or centres.

For filling out a ballot, one shopper will win 'A Big Day Out Prize Package!' The winner will also be announced at Santa's Farewell Party on December 24th. Prize details to follow, so stay tuned!
